What generation am I if I was born in 2011?

Answer

If you were born in , your generation is:
Generation Z

Pew Research Center starts Generation Z with births in 1997 and uses 2012 as its end in research, though it has not officially set where the generation ends. 2011 is the second-to-last year of that generation, so it is on the cusp with Generation Alpha: other researchers put this line a few years earlier or later. McCrindle Research, which named Generation Alpha, starts it in 2010, so by McCrindle's definition 2011 is an early Generation Alpha year; this chart follows 2012, the cut-off Pew Research Center uses, so here it is still Gen Z.
